No. We accept colostrum regardless of quality. Pricing is based on region and supply, not quality.

How often do you pick up?

Pickup frequency depends on your location and volume, but we collect at least once per week in most zones.

Can I use my own freezer?

We provide a dedicated freezer to ensure proper storage and logistics. Using the SCCL freezer is required.

What happens if my colostrum thaws before pickup?

Contact us immediately. We'll work with you to determine if it's still usable.

Do I have to commit to a minimum volume or contract length?

There is no minimum time commitment laid out in the contract, and you can opt out anytime.

What if I'm not in a pickup zone?

Contact us anyway. We're always expanding our collection network and may be able to work with you.

Step 1 Apply

Fill out the donor form. We'll verify your dairy is licensed to sell milk and located in one of our pickup zones.

Step 2 Get Set Up

We deliver a free freezer and collection pails to your farm. We'll walk you through the collection procedure (it takes about 5 minutes to learn).

Step 3 Collect & Freeze

After feeding your calves, place excess colostrum in SCCL pails and freeze immediately. We collect excess colostrum from first AND second milkings!

Step 4 We Pick Up, You Get Paid

We pick up frozen colostrum from your farm and drop off fresh supplies as needed. You're paid weekly by direct deposit.

1. Collect the first milking using good sanitary procedures (the same procedures you use for milk going into your bulk tank)

2. Remove colostrum needed to feed your calves

3. Place excess colostrum in an SCCL pail (leave 3 inches of space at the top for expansion)

4. Put a lid on the pail and freeze immediately

Are You Eligible?

To join the SCCL Dairy Partnership Network, your dairy must meet these requirements:

Licensed to sell milk for human consumption
Located in an SCCL pickup zone (Canada, USA, Mexico, Scotland, Netherlands)
Able to freeze colostrum immediately after collection
Cows are healthy and vaccinated
