Mixing and Feeding FAQs

Water temperature is extremely important when mixing colostrum powder. If the water is too cold, the solution becomes more challenging to mix and feed and will not provide additional warmth for the calf. However, if the water temperature is too hot, the colostrum can be damaged, lowering the efficacy. We recommend mixing powder with water at 43-49°C / 110-120°F. Never microwave colostrum as this also damages antibodies.
