Colostrum Storage and Calf Growth

Storing colostrum feels like a simple logistics question, but this study looked at whether storage conditions actually change what a calf gets out of it. Researchers tracked how different storage methods affected calf serum IgG levels along with preweaning health and growth outcomes. For producers relying on banked or frozen colostrum rather than fresh, this is worth knowing before assuming storage is a neutral step in the process.
